Greetings all,
New member, seemed like alot of knowledgeable members here. I tried searching google and this site. More overwhelmed with info then when I started.
I have:
Craftsman 8" Bench Grinder
1/4 HP Continuous Duty
8 AMP
3450 RPM (No Load)
Model: 152.241180
Serial: 0330-W
Capacitor markings:
E193081
CBB60 SH
12uF +/-5%
50/60Hz
250VAC
-25/85 Celsius
NINGBO HAILIDA
Sears Part No: OR90311
Bought it at a yard sale for $10, tag said it just needed new brushes...lol. Guess they got me there.
When I plugged it in and turned it on, it just hums. Opened the bottom, and the cap was blown.
The pics don't show the hole in the end, just the markings. Sears site says a replacement cap is no longer available, and doesn't suggest an alternative.
Anyone know where I can buy a replacement? Or an alternative?
I dont know if going up/down uF is good or voltage etc.
