Hey guys I've been a structural ironworker for a few years now and I'm sick of these crappy Klein wrenches I started out with the jaws spread when your really tightening down on a bolt. So I ordered up a few wright wrenches and the 7/8 and 3/4 spuds are great they seem like they'll do a great job for a long time the only problem I have is with the 1" wrench. This thing is a monster. It's almost two feet long I know the guys I work with have shorter ones about 18" but there all Klein. I don't want to go back to Klein and be let down so does anyone on here know what other company's sell a smaller 1" (1-5/8")spud wrench?

Thanks for the help guys
Anthony

Martin Tools offers spud wrenches from ⅝" to 2".
Part number 206B is a 1" wrench 14-1/2" long.

They make nice tools, I wouldn't hesitate to try one.

P.S. they also have a big selection of offset open end as well as box end "structural wrenches".

Just looking in the back of the Martin tools catalog they show the Martin 206B interchanges with Proto C206B and Armstrong 32-832. Check the lengths though if that's important.

If it pays your bills and you like the Wright, get out the bandsaw and flap disc and cut that puppy down. You'll have the best of both worlds and get to use it everyday. No love lost.

It looks like all those ones are about the same size as the one I have I could cut it down I guess but I can't really bring myself to cut up a brand new tool you know if I can't find another option I might have to do that though

Check here for used: http://webuyandselltools.vpweb.com/default.html
I was just there today, saw a bunch (dozen or two) of large spud wrenches. "Big" by auto mech standards, but you'll need to call to check. Their price goal is around 50% of new price - some good deals , some not. No affiliation, just an occasional customer. Good luck!
