Hey everyone first post here! I've browsed the forum a lot but finally decided to sign up! I have a snap-on krsc46 tool box with a mix of snap-on and craftsman tools, I love snap-on but when it comes to sockets I just can't justify the price. Our shop is hopefully about to expand to about 4 times the current size so I'm going to be looking at some more future tool purchases which is one reason I signed up, but now to the point of this post... I bought a snap-on dual 80 ratchet last year and love it, we would like another one but our SO guy said they must have just made a batch of them and that's it because he hasn't had any more and I've looked all over there Internet and can't find one any where. Im hoping maybe someone might have seen one on their SO truck recently and could put me in contact with the dealer. He has a bunch just like it only they have the soft handle which is what i dont want...

The one in the picture is not a dual 80. It is a 100 tooth round head. It is a very nice ratchet, probably my favorite. You can ask your Snap-On guy to change the handle. My guy changes the handle for me if it is the wrong color. You can order them from e-bay. I bet someone on GJ has one you could buy. They are easy to swap, put the ratchet in a vise and use a pry bar. Those hard handles used to be hard to come by, but Snap -On recently brought them back so they should be easy.

Good luck. If you lube that ratchet it is so smooth, not easy to open, but worth the time.

My bad on that I was thinking it was a dual 80, never found much info on it so I'm not real familiar with the specifics, I love it though. Can I still get one like this and swap the handle or will a dual 80 be the only option? I'm going to check ebay now for some handles.

Tell your Snap-On guy exactly what you want, he can get it. Sometimes things take a little time. You could ask him to ask his regional manager guy, or ask him to ask his buddy franchisees, my guy does this and is able to get me stuff sometimes.

I'm getting somewhere now, I should have looked at the ratchet already but if I'm correct the part number fhnf100. I'll give my SO guy the part number and see what he can do, wish I could find a blue handle to match my box, I did find a few handles on ebay but the colors were awful besides black.

That what you have is an FHNF100 with the green hard handle. They sell right around $100-125 on ebay. Jackasses want more, but they average 100 bucks. Buy the soft handled one if you have to, have your driver swap handles.
