It's that time of year again where I need to keep warm while wrenching in the cold garage and outdoors on my toys, and I do a lot of wrenching.

The catch is I need an XS or XXS adult. I'd probably fit a kid's size fine if someone makes them. I'm 5'4" and skinny.

Looking for something like this, though a darker color would be nicer with all the grease:

You need to order a carhartt.. The carhartt models come in sizes like pants.. If you go with ANYTHING Carharrt, I highly recommend you go with the sandstone material. It is MUCH softer and more flexible compared to the regular materials they use. Makes it much easier to work in...

Personally - I don't do the coveralls anymore. It's too restraining, ESPECIALLY when you need to reach UP for something and your fighting the coveralls trying to grab stuff.. Instead I do the bibs and wear them over Carhartt's zip up hoodie (model J149 I think) it's the most popular one.. IF I still need more, I'll put the sandstone vest over that.. If it's really cold, the vest comes off and a sandstone jacket goes on..

Here - quilt lined sandstone Bibs - http://www.carhartt.com/products/ca...ls/Sandstone-Duck-Bib-Overall-Quilt-Lined-R27

Regular Duck , quilt lined coveralls - for some reason they don't make them in sandstone.. No idea why- http://www.carhartt.com/products/carhartt-men-bibs-coveralls-overalls/Duck-Coverall-Quilt-Lined-X01

Read the sizing charts - The Arctic lined stuff is not pratical for normal work.. It's really designed for like working in Alaska. Too thick, too hot to work in, too heavy to move around in..

I have a set of Dickies, I use them for the REALLY cold jobs, or jobs that I know I will be rolling around in the snow. Think I got them at either Walmart or the Dickies clearance section on their website.

Marks Work Warehouse can order insulated carhartts coveralls in if not in stock. I know carhartts makes a 34 short. Carhartt uses better quality zipper than dickies ,,about the only difference I noticed IMO

I have had a set since high school. Got em at Walmart, they are walls brand
Yep, thats what I use when I need them.

I have the opposite issue really. Very long torso, even the tall size is a bit restrictive when sitting.

I guess I should have been more clear as to how skinny I am. I'm a 28" waist, 110 lbs. And I prefer a coveralls as I occasionally roll around in the snow around or under a car and don't want to get snow into my layers.

It seems the major brands are Dickies, Walls, and Carhartt. However, none of them seem to make a small enough adult size for me or coveralls in kids sizes.

Browsing the internets I have come across KEY Apparel Polar King. They make various youth sizes. I have also come across Berne Apparel youth coveralls on Amazon. Links below. Either of these any good?

BTW no Peavy Marts, but we do have plenty of Marks'.

The smallest Carhartt insulated would be "34 Short", but they are made to be worn over other clothes. Not sure, but the bibs might have the snaps on the back of the collar to add a hood on. Perfect for rolling under stuff in the snow, and not getting any down your neck.

I wear insulated bibs out on service calls, and got them close to my pant size and were WAY too confining with jeans on underneath, so I just wear them over a set of thermals (5'6" with a 32" waist and a bit of a beer belly). I'd say so check out some stores to get a proper fit, but most never seem to have anything in stock for the smaller guys.

Don't go with too dark if working with grease and oil, or you won't notice it until it's too late and you sat in your vehicle or on the couch and leave a stain :D

I'd go with Polar King, Berne, or Carhartt. I've had all of them and never worn them out, just grew out of them. I had my last pair of Berne insulated bib overalls stolen. The current pair is working great, used every winter.

Good to know Berne and Polar King (by KEY Apparel) are quality products. As they make youth sizes which should fit me. Thanks for all the help guys. The Carhartt arctic line sounds nice (I'm skinny and always cold) but Carhartt doesn't have my sizing.

Thread success !

Now I just have to pick a brand and play the lottery of cloth sizing and online shopping :(.

Just look into return policy wherever you buy, and make sure they can't screw you on return shipping cost or restocking fees.
