I will get some more pics this evening to get the markings off the other side. I picked the wrenches up at a sale for a buck a piece, but the stand i gave ten for at another sale. I was extremely happy when they matched up though!

The "= FORGED IN USA =V=" are from about 1947 -early 1970's if I remember correctly.

Note that the 1/4"- 5/16" and the 3/8" - 7/16" wrenches are "- FORGED IN USA - V -" probably because they didn't have enough room for the two lines.

If the wrenches have a part number they are too late mid 1970's and up.

Your stand with that heritage label is from the 1950's most likely.

Your 9 wrench stand is bigger than the usual 6 wrench stand like I have

The same stand with the later Crown logo is not as common.

Jim, Jim, Jim, it's way more convincing with a pic or 3.

You are absolutely right!! I'm currently not near my tools, but I'll post a couple pictures in a few days. Sorry for trying to slip one past you guys without a picture. What the heck was I thinking?

I bought these new in 1968, except for the 1/2 X 9/16 which has been replaced.

I have the two big ones you need, the smaller ones are slightly different style.

Is this an example of how a member goes about asking for tools when he or she does not yet have the required 100 posts to be able to start a thread in the wanted section of the forum?

I am stuck in the same situation you are, so I assure you that my post was not a complaint. ;)

Coincidentally, I also have the same set of wrenches (minus that totally awesome holder), and I am missing a few of them too. I long for the day when I reach 100 posts so that I can start a thread in the wanted section.

Once again I'm sorry for trying to run one past you guys without pictures.... I really should have known that sort of BS wasn't gonna fly around here. Anyway, here's a few pictures. I bought these as a set a little while back. All have the =V= manufacturer's mark except the smallest two which have a -V- mark because of their physical size. They've certainly been used and all have some honest wear on them, but generally speaking, they're still in pretty good shape. I'd like to find an original vintage holder/rack for them. I believe the holder/rack is much more difficult to track down versus the wrenches themselves. So BigRed, if you ever want to part with that rack, I'm a serious buyer.
