Help Fixing Matco MT2858 Air Ratchet

I just picked up a well used Matco MT2858 Pit Bull Air Ratchet and after using for a little bit, I took it apart to give it a good cleaning and lube.

Does anyone know if there are any schematics/diagrams available for these anywhere?

And possibly a rebuild kit? Or does Matco have to do it?

I am having trouble getting the body apart from the ratchet head. There is a huge hex connector that I can't budge. Has anyone done this before?

The help is appreciated, thanks!

That's great. Thanks!

Ay ideas on getting No. 25 off? Mine just won't budge.

why are you tearing it down that far? are you rebuilding the motor? if you really want to take it apart, take the grip off(otherwise your going to ruin it in the vise), then put it in a vise. use a little heat, there's loctite on it.

It's full of grime and dirt, just wanted to make sure everything was nice and clean before putting it all back together. Maybe I won't though, sounds like more than I may be bargaining for.

yeah, i wouldn't take it apart. just do the head kit and then run some air tool oil through it.

Found some of the pins in pieces in the head, so I am down to sending it off for a rebuild, or just buying a new one. Has anyone had good or bad experience getting a Matco tool rebuilt?
