This compressor was stashed away in our barn when we purchased it a couple years back. I just got an IR compressor put together that I will use for my shop, but would like this one to air up tires and to air things out at our barn. The plugs were out of the tank and I see no signs of rust on the inside or moisture. I flushed out the oil in the compressor, removed the belts and plugged the motor in. Had a small bit of grinding at first and electric motor spun nice and quite... So I put the belts on and turned it on again, seemed to raise to about 25lbs fairley quickly but not over that. I turned it off and took pics and wanted to get some more info before I move forward.
It looks like the piston at the top of the head is bent, inside look like carbon/rocks of that piston, im sure that thing is bad. I believe that is an unloader? Anything modern I can replace it with?
Tag on the back of the compressor says size = 3 3/8 x 1 7/8 x 3
Can anybody tell me what model this compressor might be so I can get a service manual/specs for it?
Any other info anybody may have?
