I need some ideas, I have a standard wash tank, that the legs are 3inch angle, approx 18 guage only, and I want to weld some wheels to make a roller, has anyone got a picture and what is the easiest way to add wheels to the legs? TIA, Dana
Pretty much. I build a angle iron frame for my band saw to roll it around. That way I'm not modding my saw, and not trying to apply forces that a sheet metal frame shouldn't get...
I'm kinda thinking to get some 1/8 in plate and weld on the bottom of my legs, basically it will be cut like a gusset when it's all trimmed off, then add casters to it. I am only going to roll this back and forth under my bench! really not to much weight on them, mineral spirits and small parts etc. (Still can use suggestions), TIA, Dana
I mounted some wheels on my blast cabinet on the outside of 2 legs and a handle on the opposite side of the cabinet. The wheels don't touch the floor until I lift up on the side of the cabinet with the handle. I can move the cabinet with 100 lbs of sand pretty easily.
Well, I had some 2 inch angle iron and decided to take off my flimsly legs and apply 4 new ones. welded some cut off pieces of angle iron to ea. leg and drilled holes to accept my caster wheels. Done. Thanks for the input, Dana
