Hello again Friends,
I have been following the garage door insulation posts for a few months. Finally ready to have someone come help me this weekend, and realized I still don't have a clue how to mount them, and how to get an ??? air space between the foil on each side?
So I'm using the R13 rigid insulation, which we'll cut to fit each garage door panel.
Y'all have suggested having foil/radiant barrier on each side of the insulation. But the foil clearly states that it will only work if there is an air space adjacent to the foil side.
The main issue where I live is going to be summer heat, which is why I like the idea of having radiant foil facing outwards, to reflect away the summer sun. Door already is a light color but might go with painting it white.
So can anyone spell it out for me, how to put up the panels, and how and where to put the foil?
Many, many thanks in advance!
