I have a 1.5 year old Armorpoxy floor. I'm working out in my shop lately since my gym is closed. I dropped a 45 lb plate from a great height and put 2 chips in my floor. 1 is about 2.5 x 1 inches and the other is about .25 x 1 inch. A little bit of the concrete chipped with it. I have some product left over both parts of the epoxy and the military grade top coat and the flecks. Please tell me I can fix this!

Lol

Ive got a working shop with a brick red epoxy floor, 16 years old.

You’d be dead a long time ago.

I’m sure you can mix up a capful of material, do a chip repair like it is a new car. Just fill until level, a few flakes. Place them with a tweezer (no need to broadcast like you did originally.)

You’ll never see it, IMO

Some people just can't have nice things. Throw a rubber mat over it so you don't do it again.
But seriously one of the floor gurus will chime in soon with what will probably be an easy fix.

It was a fairly easy fix. I actually called Armorpoxy that night and they talked me through it. They even offered to send a repair kit free of charge. I had leftover product that was still good so I just used that. I filled the gouges in 3 lifts and used a putty knife on the third lift to drag across and make it even with the rest of the floor. The color is a hair off but im sure itll wear in. The chips hide a lot. Its not perfect but its really hardly noticeable. Top not service by Armorpoxy. Cant say enough good things about that company. Using tweezers was a good tip btw!

Good Job!
My floors just went down last week. I'm sure I'll need this at some point as I wrench on my cars and drop heavy $##T all the time.

Thx for posting results!

As far as how it happened: I've been using my Genie Lift as a squat rack and lost a plate off one side when unloading! Woops! :)

Nice use of the Genie.

I had a buddy with some old school squat rack and weights that he let me borrow.

I dropped a 4" vise on mine a couple months ago and chipped it. It's barely noticeable, but I see it every time I'm in the garage and my OCD makes me twitch.

Hi All,
The beauty of these floors is that they can be easily fixed. If you have the coating still it can be carefully touched up. If you need anything contact us directly and we will send out no charge as a courtesy. Best for support to always contact us directly as GJ is not continuously monitored.

Note to customers...any floor can be damaged if you drop something heavy and with a sharp edge so use protection in that area to protect it. We have any customers who get from us some of our Overstock www.supratile.com interlocking solid PVC tiles and they move them around to areas that need protection. We sell these for $1.00 per sq foot.
