Help I.D. my vise

I got this vise for free from my old machine shop instructor. It has no markings at all that I can see. if anybody knows what I have that would be great. Also, how do these jaws come out. One side appears to have fasteners with heads broke off and the other seems to have slots cut in with a dremel.
