I also posted on social media and had people say not a Kennedy but maybe a Huot? Or Park mfg? I'm picking them up this afternoon any ideas as to where to look for the modle number on either one ?

I restored my father's top box and it most certainly is a Kennedy. He was a mechanic in the civil service at a near by national guard base and it was the same "government gray".

At first I thought it could be a Huot, but those are Kennedy drawer pulls. Also, Huots have a distinctive design on the lid.

Here's a Huot box I own.

Would it have a serial number some place hidden ?
No. If the Snap-on is stamped it's on the back, probably left hand side as you face the rear. Model number and where made only.

Kennedy may have a sticker with model number inside the top right drawer, right side, but I seriously, seriously doubt it.
