Help ID a vice?

Hey guys, i just bought this vice today and cant find any markings on it, it seems in good shape but there's a half inch of paint on it. Any help would be appreciated. Eric

That design combined with thick paint/bondo means cheap asian knockoff. If you're lucky it was made in Taiwan before they moved production to mainland China.

These can be useful, but don't try to abuse it or it will break. I never liked the way the jaws swivel freely until you get the screw tight.

Thanks, that's about what I was thinking, it should still work fine for my needs. Any idea on a value? Its jaws are about 5 inches and weighs probably close to 40pounds. I'm gonna clean it up either way and use it, just curious. Thanks.

You can buy them new for $79 not on sale at HF, (but who would want to? :dunno:

So not more than $15-35 used depending on condition.

If I ever find one of the original US made units, THAT I would buy; but the odds are probably slim and none
