Is there a good resource for identifying an old mill ? I know that it was made in 1941 , from the serial number on the knee , just forward of the handle , but the head serial is M1432. I would like to know if there is any way to learn who bought it first and or where it was used .

I have never run across any database that offers that information. Some machines have a dealer plate attached that might could be followed up if you are lucky. Looks like yours is a round ram model with an M head. What spindle taper does yours have, Brown & Sharpe?
