Help ID snap on ratchet

Hey guys my buddy just found a (I think older) snap on ratchet...my buddy was just wondering some info on it like roughly how old it is.. If its even old.. I haven't seen it in person yet.. Here's the numbers on it and I'm trying to get a picture on here

pat d-132881 thats all the numbers that are on it its 3/8 drive

I look up a date code on an f 71 and it was made in 1979

If we go by the date code it's a 54.. That's crazy..Doesnt seem right... I will have to check it out in person this weekend lol

The 1954 code would be a rocking four. The date code will be a single letter or number.
