I hit 1/4" pay dirt at a sale today; see new additions alongside S&K diamond set. 2 snap on boxes and another SK!

I'll inventory and clean tomorrow, but I'm really curious about the two, double piano hinged boxes that were included. Latch on one side, pull ring top center, double piano hinge lid. No markings whatsoever, metallic blue hammered paint finish, really well made. Can anyone help identify brand, use etc.? Thanks.

Thanks, Roger. I think there's some old points in the photo, too. Neat old boxes, though; still hoping I can find where they came from. I searched motorcycle tool boxes, but nothing I found online looks like these. Still have to inventory the rest of the 1/4 inch sets and post pix.

They are cool. May not be toolboxes, maybe just some old metal boxes repurposed.

They look like something that would be attached to a bulkhead inside some kind of vehicle. The latch mounted on the top. Maybe to hold road flares some emergency equipment or something. I seem to remember seeing boxes like that in buses when I was a kid.

Too small for flares; sorry I should have posted dimensions from the start: 7 1/2" X 4 1/4 X 2 1/8 tall

They have remenants of metallic blue paint, so I wonder if they could be from Montgomery Ward or some other chain no longer around.
