I can't seem to find what these are called and if they are still made somewhere... I'm assuming they are antique braze on pipe fittings.

Any help with what they are and where they can be located is appreciated.

Im pretty sure they are not pipe fittings. They were specially made just to build benches like that.

I was going to suggest Kee Klamps as funnily enough the company started in my home town and I had a friend who worked there for years.

Here are stair rail fittings for use with 1- 1/2" pipe.

These are cast and hop dipped galv. There are set screws that clamp on the pipe.

Not sure who the manufacture is.

Not sure what im going to do with them. Drop a PM if there is any interest.

Don't know exactly what they are called, who makes them, or where they can be had.

(A lot of help, I know !) What I do know is I have seen them used for pipe railing

systems on porch decks, but usually on older homes and places like the boardwalk

at the shore.

Man... I hope you bought (or own) that antique looking workbench!!! That is some sweet industrial furniture... with a few mods it would make a cool retro desk, dinner table, or just use it as a retro workbench...

Google industrial retro furniture and check out some of the prices for this kind of stuff

Sadly, I won't own that work bench - it's on http://www.1stdibs.com/, a great site to look for inspiration, but far out of my reach. I'll save you the registration trouble, they are asking $3,995 for this bench. No, I didn't miss a decimal place. $4k. Who buys this? I'm just keeping this design in my idea library for when the time is right, now that I know all of the pieces are available.

You can also get something very similar from most dairy (farm) suppliers, usually heavier duty for 2" pipe. They're used for building stalls.
