Help ID this Matco socket SPS16...SNAKE EYES!

Ok, bought at a thrift store. MATCO SPS 16.

It is cylindrical, inside and out with two square pegs 180 deg from one another.

It is 1/4" drive. 2.25" long. 9/16" OD.

No love on google. Looks similar to snake eye bits, but these pegs are square, and I think further apart than security heads, etc.
