Help ID this old Toolbox Set

Nice setup. I'm going to guess it is from the 70's to mid 80's. A waterloo built box for Mac, Matco or Waterloo branded themselves. Looks like a 33" wide unit, possibly 27"?. I'd check it out thoroughly, unless it is super cheap. Looks like it was in a body shop which the environment is hell on a tool box.

you are correct about the bodyshop, that is where I was told it is out of. I was told that a couple of the drawers stick and are difficult to open and as you can see two drawer pulls are missing, price is under $125. Debating on if it's worth the effort as another toolbox is not on my "Need" list, but they do not come around often.

I would check it out very thoroughly, especially the slides and slide channels to see if they are physically worn down. Once that happens it becomes labor and $ prohibitive to repair unless you just like that particular box. It also looks like it is missing the casters? On the plus side, that is lots of drawers. If it is not rotted or really worn I'd probably go for it. 
I've seen some body shop boxes where the slide channels were worn down to about tissue paper thickness, and some completely give way. After that happens I personally consider the box scrap unless it is something super cool or rare that someone wants to fix up.

Thanks for the advice, I am going to take a look at it and if anything, maybe the top box is in better condition and see if he would split it up. I myself have never worked in a body shop, do toolboxes in bodyshops wear thin due to heavy items that are typically placed in them? Is there another reason for this?

Dust, dirt, water, and heavy **** that winds up in the box is what wears one out. Most of the time you spend so much time cleaning up your mess and making junk look good that the last thing you want to do is spend time cleaning up your box. I try to go through my boxes about every other month and give them a looksee just for the fun of it. Oh and get used to the overspray, I try to remember to cover mine but sometimes you jus forget. Yeah bodyshops are rough on a box lol!

Kind of looks like a Kennedy to me. But I'm not an expert.
The body shop dust is extremely abrasive from the sanding + filler + paint + cutting compound in the air + Usually a lack of lube. --> worn out friction slides. I always tell myself I'm done with body shop boxes, then I find another one super cheap. 
The top MIGHT be but I highly doubt it based on color, drawer layout and drawer pulls. I'm like 99.9% sure the bottom is a waterloo box.

Well thanks for the replies, I may reconsider it with the concerns of the condition, but it's worth a 30min drive to go see it on sat if it's still available! He also mentioned that they were leaving some tools in it, so that has my interest peaked as well!

For + or- $100 I would ****** it up myself...... I'm toolbox poor right now I don't know what I would do with it but hey it's a cool looking old box. Around my area you don't come by anything decent for less than $300.
