This is the only picture posted on an online add I came across. Asking price is $100. Not sure what the make of the vise is. Need help. Thanks in advance.

Yep, it's an old Columbian machinist vise with the "U" style jaws that were made around (1917-1925). Condition and size mean everything, so inspect it thoroughly before you give him an offer of less than $100.

I have an old Columbian 506 that is my main outside vise and I absolutely love it. Check out the attached vise photos, which is of the same vintage Columbian as the one you're looking at.

Can you verify that it does actually say Columbian on the side? I’ve never seen a swivel base exactly like that one before on a Columbian vise.

It's definitely a Columbian machinist vise, but that base is homemade.

Thanks for all the responses. Not sure if I want the vise, was hoping for it to be Reed or Charles Parker.
