Hello,

These are beautiful, barely used Double male ended extensions. Cadmium finish and of the same lot.

I conferred with Don, and he feels they could very well be a wartime item.

Specs: Both 1/2 inch drive, Beautiful Cadmium finish (no thinning and the finish is consistent with no excessive wear 360°, end to end), and they look barely used.

The OD on both is 11/16. The long one has an overall length of 10", with a shoulder to shoulder length of 9".

The shorter one is 5-1/4" overall, with a shoulder to shoulder length of 4"

They are both dead straight with a few very minor nicks (looks like they have lived in a box forever). If anyone can give a guess as to their brand (or may need them to complete a dream set ?) please reach out.

Thanks all,

Shawn

Those were a common style of extension in the early 30s

Mine are Duro Chrome, not marked but came in a complete set of Duro. The ratchets were female drive. Very good extensions, stand up to abuse well.

Actually, this was my thinking on the extensions and a quote from my email.
“ Back in the early days of female drive ratchets and sliding Tees, double male ended extensions were commonplace. As far as cad plating goes, it wasn’t unusual for lower priced offerings to be cad rather than chrome. These S-K extensions are marked with bands of knurling but other brands were plain, like your examples. My guess on when they were made would be prewar, like these sets.”
