Sorry for the crappy pictures. Here's box 1. I love the top box lid corners on these, not sure what the sheet metal term is for that.

Can anyone narrow the years down on any of these?

Set 2. I love these old boxes with the full covers.

I think the last set is 48, iirc. They swapped from double to single handles about then. Att of them are pre-58, which is when the swapped to the two year crown badges before Waterloo.

Rem-Line didn't exist back then. Advertising Co, who made these, became Rem-Line about the 60s.

Yeah if you could just roll all of those boxes into my shop that'd be great.......

Nice stuff. Cruzan nailed the dating info. The only thing I'd add is that if you look behind the Heritage logo on that first (red) stack, you'll find the AMD logo embossed into the metal. There may or may not be a two-digit date code along with that. The earliest date stamps on these that I've seen in 1955. If those boxes do not have the date stamp, I'd put them at late 52 (when the full front covers went away) to early 55.

Are there variances within each style of badge?

I've only seen charts that have one badge per Era but don't show different versions.

Badges on the top chests pretty much stayed the same with the exception of going from "Pointy A" to "Barn Roof A" (or whatever variant term you wish to use). Of course the notorious "Blue Badge" shows up on a few post war boxes (top and bottom) with two pulls per drawer. Those are few and far between.

The bottom chests vary from the standard Heritage badge and a larger type without the "wings". Placement of the logo on bottom chests vary a bit throughout the years as well. I've got both an 8d and a 3d with the large badge along with a 3d with the smaller, winged badge. I've never really made the effort to correlate the badge changes with dates.
