help identify air pump motor and piston type

HI all,
id like help to identify this old air compressor motor "made in the usa" however no other identifying marks except for stamped numbers "701" and "702".
see photos attached.
also when i dissasembled to check the state of the pistons and rings i noticed it had 8 floating rings on the pistons, which is new to me and no idea how to replace if need be.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

The valves look a lot like my +-1905 Brunner. In any case I’m pretty sure that was made to pump refrigerant, hence the many piston rings and thick finning. It will get too hot pumping air, but I could be wrong. I REALLY love the bronze connecting rods! WOW! I have a similar one I bought for yard art to put in my cactus garden, gonna take it apart and see if it has bronze rods...
Correction: really old air compressors like my Brunner were finned really thick and were meant to air up tires, turned slow and so heat wasn’t a problem. I looked up info on refrigerant compressor pumps and it said they have no oil control rings because the oil was supposed to be pumped..

I find it curious that a company would take the effort to state "Made In The USA", but not include their name.

Most likely not a refrigeration compressor as the suction valves appear to be open to the atmosphere. A vapor compression refrigeration system would be closed.

" Made In USA" and no other marking would make sense if you're a big manufacturer supplying lots of different retailers.

That is a Brunner No. 26 air compressor, and to my knowledge they were never sold by retailers. This pump was made from 1913, or earlier, into the 1920s. I have more info if anyone is interested
