help identify hydraulic post jack..

I found this recently and at first thought it was an orphaned camper jack, but the chain and hook have left me scratching my head the base is a round and I assume it fits into a missing base plate or foot? the label is really rough but I can make out what looks like a partial KYB logo.. and someone has fabricobbled the handle with some brazing..

any help appreciated!!

Just a guess, but I think you might have a hydraulic bumper jack for automobiles.

Thanks ! That was my thought too, but I have never seen one quite like it and a quick google search did not turn anything up.
