I pulled this out of an old service station. It has The Accurate Gear Co. Springfield, Ohio cast into the top and stamped around the rim. It appears to be some sort of gas burner that sat on the ground but I might be way off. I can't find anything like it online nor do I see anything about the maker.

On a guess since you pulled it from a service station , perhaps a heater for bearing/gears to install or remove them from other parts ?
