I have an older jack at least 30 years old in need of repair. I found this out after leaving it with my truck jacked in the air to come back with it lowered to the ground and half a quart on the ground. The paint is definitely not the original paint . I'm trying to find who made it especially now that theirs a leak shown in the last two pictures. Tell me what you guys know....

You can see where the problem is with the drip about to fall.

I'd guess that if you tear it down, seals and fittings will be mostly standard and the original maker won't matter much.

Is this something that you need to know what your doing? Is a manual out their or should I take it to a professional? If so how do I go about getting it done?

for less than the price of fixing that old jack you should be able to buy a shiny new one at HF. Oh Wait... do SO make jacks?

I was looking at the Rapid Pump 3 Ton Aluminum Racing Jack for $200.00.
The quick quote to fix my jack was somewhere under $300.00 for a rebuild.
Not sure what to do right now..

I think this jack is worth fixing. You will be hard pressed to find a new jack with the same build quality without spending nearly double for what you have been quoted to rebuild this one.

The frame of your jack is definitely a Hein-Werner 3 ton model H. However, a portion of the handle assembly as seen in your pictures appears to be from a different Hein-Werner model, perhaps from a GG, GH, or M. I really don't know.

Good luck with whichever route you decide to take!

This is a Hein Werner GA. No kits are available.
