Help Identify this lititle grinder

I bought this for $10 a few months ago. I think it's original paint, but the badge is badly faded. I found a picture of an original, and much larger Stanley. It had a badge with a very similar shape and the red paint looked like a match.

Any thoughts?

My first thought upon seeing the picture, BEFORE I read your post was, "vintage Stanley or B&D" with a re-paint.

How would tool rests have mounted on yours? From the base or from the guards?

Or a Baldor.

Dayton (Doerr) or early Baldor would be my guess as well

That grinder screams Baldor to me.
