I've spent about an hour on Google image search looking for a match with no luck.

The star/flower logo on the side is pretty distinctive. Any ideas?

It's available for $50.

Believe it or not that photo has been cleaned up and enhanced to look that good.

That’s got what, 4 inch wide jaws?
Is it near you so you could check it out?
If it’s in OK shape, I would pay $50

The guy said the jaws were 8". I don't think I believe that, but I have my fingers crossed for 5-6".

Here is a pic I found of a Morgan that is very close in shape.

A lot of guys think the size of the jaws is how far they will open.

Yeah, when he said 10-12 inches I asked him for the correct measurement. It's that giant lead screw head that makes me think it might be a bigger one. It looks massive compared to the one in the picture you found.

American Scale RED SEAL vise. maybe a 4 inch wide jaw, but it does look pretty big compared to the compressor in the background so might be a BIG UN? here's a picture of a 6 inch version.

if it's not cracked, broken or missing parts, and pieces and no welds then $50 should be a no brainer.

Drives:
I think your guess is better than mine. Good call!
For $50 I’d already be in my car (with my face covering mask on of course) and cash in my pocket. :3gears:

I worked on the image as well and can’t see a trace of the characteristic red seal emblem Drives was referring to. Maybe some years had it on the other side? I don’t know.
The big beefy nose certainly looks similar. :dunno:

The base of the main casting looks thinner on the A.S. Vise of Drives.

What ever happens, please make sure to follow up on this thread

.

I knew you guys would figure it out. It's a Red Seal 64. Unfortunately the guy sold it tonight. I wasn't able to get out to pick it up until tomorrow morning.

The hunt continues...

Sorry you missed it.

Here is a 64 that Kevin posted for the spreadsheet.

One unanswered mystery is why the seller told you it was an 8 inch vise.

But the guy who beat you to it got a VERY good deal.
