Help identify vise

I am trying to identify a vise that belonged to my father. The only marking I have found to this point is a large number 5 , about 3x3 in size the number is that size'

Thanks, I will be removing the rust to check it better. I am also restoring his small littlestown vise, I always found it funny because I live in Littlestown , Pa. and the foundry is still here.

Maybe its a Record vise.

The Asian vises at Eastwood have numbers on the side like you mentioned.

Just starting on the restoring stuff. Before that I was collecting knives and different things to keep busy. I'm working on finishing up a Dunlap 5244 vise and a Stillson Wolworth pipe wrench. Just stuff of my fathers.

I forgot I'm trying to do the boiled linseed oil coating, I like the look of that. I intend to use the things I restore, I call them other peoples cast away tools. If I ever get my garage cleaned out I'll have a two car garage shop.

Whitehat95b...The easiest way to post photos is uploading straight from your directory.

Wrong guy, not the thread starter but also working on my 5th post. Cross your fingers, and I might post something nice the next days in the vise forum, just saw something on our version of craigslist, boy I probably can‘t sleep well tonight. Wish I had made an alert, but it was so unlikely to pop up. But it did 7 hours ago... pressing thumbs on crossing fingers..
