Found this at the dump. I can't find any markings on it. Doest appear to be much teeth. Any ideas who makes it or part number? Please.1000005182.jpg1000005181.jpg1000005180.jpg1000005179.jpg1000005178.jpg

My mid 90's Husky tool set came with ratchets that look just like that except they had knurled handles instead of plastic. Thumbwheel, switch, and chrome anvil all the same.

I have one like that. Came with a lot of SnapOn ratchets at an estate auction.

Surprisingly, it works ok. I have worse.

I couldn’t figure out who made it either. Never saw one in the hardware store in my youth. Most of the tools in the auction were SnapOn, Mac, EZ Red, plus a few generic Taiwan or Chinese imports.

Don't ask.
Years ago I had some with the knurled wheel on the back like that, may have been Thorsen.
Mine had a knurled handle. I really liked that feature.

I disassembled and cleaned a cheap ratchet like that and the components were fairly well made. Mine was made in Taiwan.
If I had Yoshi’s ratchet, I would do the same. If the mechanism isn’t damaged, I would probably cut it right at the handle and make a stubby.

If its useable, keep it. Next time somebody needs a ratchet, you have one they can borrow and it wont cost you a thing if it never finds its way back.

Counter argument… if you have a ridiculous amount of ratchets, like a good amount of GJ members… there is little reason to keep such a low end ratchet.

You can find the USA Wright version of that tootsie roll ratchet, in mint condition, in my area from $1-$3 on a pretty regular basis.
