Help identifying 1940's? snap on tool box

I went to by a craftsman floor jack and came home with this snap on box and Kennedy chest both filled with tools. Mainly snap on, craftsman and sk. I think this is a 1940s but any help identifying would be appreciated. I think I'm going to keep it. If i do I'm just cleaning it up i like the "patina."

The Snap On roller is from the mid 1950s. It also looks to be missing the top slim drawer

HD: i'm not sure if mine is exactly like yours, but mine is from i think 1950. here's another one i found a picture of to help you maybe repair yours.

Thanks a ton for the info. I scoped out everywhere in the garage i found this in looking for the missing drawer with no luck. I get to practice my fabrication skills I guess lol.

Those do look pretty sweet all done up. I kinda like mine the way it is. It's only original once is usually my motto when it comes to collecting. Thanks for the pics

Here she is so far. I haven't really cleaned her up much but she's got a new wood top and cool old light i bought at an estate sale last weekend.

Parts for this rig and others like it do show up on FleaBay every so often. I found a drawer for my KR-56 top box on there.

Setup a search and wait. Something will turn up.
