I just picked up this old metal lathe, and it has no tags, labels or markings that identify what brand it is.
There is a (patent) date on the 3 jaw chuck implying '1917' but that's about it. Hoping someone here may be able to identify it.

Thanks in advance,

Kevin

Your lathe looks very similar to my Seneca Falls Star 10 lathe. You might find some identifying information cast into the lathe bed directly behind the lead screw. My lathe is post-1910 and pre-1916, based on the patent dates on the bed.

X2 on Seneca falls, they were made till the 40's this looks like late production, the fabricated gear and the counter shaft assembly may be replacements. Spindle thread is probably 1 7/16-12. Head and tailstock tapers are usually Jarno or Brown and Sharpe although some late ones were Morse tapers.
