Hey guys,
I received this tool recently, it used to belong to my now deceased grandpa.
It is a female ratchet but I am trying to figure out how old it is.

Nice find. I have one like that, it is supposed to have a short square extension with it that you put the socket on and move from one side to the other to reverse direction. I think you could also get different lengths of square extensions.

What a coincidence! I was going through a toolbox this past weekend that my wife brought home from a garage sale & I found a similar Craftsman except it was stamped BE. Also, there was a 1/2" drive Walden Worcester. I took both apart & cleaned them up & they work good as new. I would post pics but my wife misplaced my USB cable to my camera.

Quad,
That's a nice old ratchet of your Grandpa's.
Poke around some more and you may find the drive spud. About 1 1/2" long square with a mushroom (usually) on one end.
That will clean up and be a great memory of him.

I picked up one like it in nice shape, complete in a lot for 20$ a couple years ago. I think it's BE stamped.
