I just picked up this toolbox at my local auction house, just wondering if anyone can help me identify who made it and roughly when it was made.

I'm pretty sure that's the box Moses used to carry around the Ark of the Covenant...lol.

What's the inside look like?

Any other good stuff at the auction?

Not sure what it looks like inside but from the outside it looks like the old general mechanics tool box we were issued in the Marine Corps in the 90's. It was red then. Not sure who the make was.

Here's the inside, it had a mostly complete (I'm guessing) Penens socket set, as well as a set of beat up "Select Steel" DBE wrenches and a few other random goodies.

Thanks 930dreamer, it does look a fair bit like the K-21. I did a bit of digging, and I think I have it figured out. I believe it's a "Fleet" logo. The logo was trademarked by Penens (i.e. Proto) in 1947. Which would mean the box was made between 1947-1965, roughly.

Does it have drawer slides? If so take a picture of them. 1940's time period would be my guess too. It is NOT a snap on or craftsman box.
