Hello folks, I acquired this older snap on toolbox and it looks like it’s been painted at some point. I was wondering if you could help me identify it. I have looked all over for a number but I can’t find anything. I do see part numbers on the drawer sliders 8-1855 on the bottom one and 8-2943 on the two top ones. I removed the drawers and didn’t find anything on the inside. I’m guessing it was part of a lager box? Any ideas?

Look carefully on the back in the corners for the manufacturer stamp. You'll need good light. It will give you the model # and two digit manufacture date. Yours is missing the chrome piece where the lock and name badge are.

Here's mine, I think it's a '71
