Help identifying the date code on this Snap On TM70B 1/4” ratchet

It’s an 8 of some kind but it’s so small I can’t really tell. For reference it’s a little TM70B.

To me it looks like 1938 but they didn’t make TM70s back then and I believe the logo would be wrong. It’s not boxy enough to be 1968, and I don’t believe the logo or cover plate would be correct for 1998.

I’m guessing 48 or 58?

For reference these are tiny and they spanned many years of production so it’s hard to tell.

Based on the chart I would say ‘78. Clearly a split at the top and bottom of the 8
