The smallest end is big enough for a 3/8 socket, but the other compartment would hold a ratchet and thats it.That angled rear section looks like storage for sockets. It's hard to figure out, though, since the camera distorts the proportions somewhat. Since it's only 10" long, I'd guess it was for 1/4" drive or 3/8" drive components. I don't recognize it, though, as being from any particular brand.
Looks to me like you could get a ratchet, a couple of extensions and a nutdriver handle in there. I can't think of anything other than a socket set that would work with that layout, really. The smallest end is big enough for a 3/8 socket, but the other compartment would hold a ratchet and thats it.
OK. Now, I can visualize the size of the box. Looks like 1/4" size to me. Or, 3/8 with a small breaker bar and an extension or two. I mean, I don't know for sure. The box looks old in its design with those folding tab corners, and not every socket set included a ratchet. Some just had an L-handle or a sliding T-bar. Generally, though, there was also at least one extension as well in such sets.Thats a 3/8 ratchet, seems like not much room. But 1/4 sockets are too small for the the other side...
