Help identifying this Craftsman tool box

Good morning everyone, I'm looking for help identifying this craftsman tool box. I purchased it 1995 if I remember correctly from the scratch and dent section at my local Sears. When you're young & dumb you don't save receipts or manuals right ****. It's been sitting in my parents garage since I quit working at Sears in 1999. It's dirty and has some more bumps and bruises but still in good condition. The problem is the drawer slides, bottom drawer of the bottom box has busted slides and the rest work but not great. Would like to replace them but having trouble finding new slides. Starting to think it may be more cost effective to just buy a new box. Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated. That's a Waterloo Magnum which I think was only in the industrial catalog, but not 100% on the catalog.

Try calling Waterloo. Those slides weren't great from the factory. Definitely a heavy duty box worth saving if you can.

It's a Craftsman Professional which as the poster above said is based on the waterloo magnum of its day. However, i think it's older than 1995. I thought they lost the drop front in the 1980's but, I could be wrong.

There should be a part number stamped on the back of both boxes and possibly a date.

Waterloo may be your best bet. However, Waterloo has changed owners and may not stock replacement slides any longer.

Wish I'd thought to call them when I heard that and maybe picked up some extra parts. Think it's too late now. Anyone heard if their parts were bought by any one person/group for resale?

Probably means Waterloo January 1990.

They are still in business under Stanley Black and Decker.

I think they made these through most of the 90's but could be wrong. Napa badged a bunch of these too, among others I'm guessing?

I got one of the broken slides out & it says Accuride on one side. Can't seem to find any other markings such as a part #. I did find one marking on front bottom right side of lower box that says Made in the USA W-1-90. From what I've found the W is where it was made in this case California from what I've seen (not sure if that's correct) I'm assuming the 1-90 is January 1990.

I've looked at every drawer & cannot find a sticker. As I stated in my original post I purchased this from the scratch and dent section at my local Sears. I really think it was a return since I've found some hidden treasures that don't belong to me lol. Wonder if sticker your referring to was possibly removed by original owner ****

accuride are still in business, still making drawer slides. Try them, to see if they can sell you a replacement.

They used to make a decent product, I'd hope they haven't let the quality "slide"

Nice but short writeup on Sears foisting Lumidor off on Waterloo. But that was back in the 1950s or so.

The last I heard, which was 5 years ago, Waterloo was operating in Mexico but (at the time) was in the process of moving to a southern state. I know, its 5 year old info, take it for what it is.

I bought s toolbox of that style (pulls, etc) secondhand. What i found was that rather than sliding and locking into place, the slides were riveted in. Due to spinning rivets i decided not to remove the slides when i restored the toolbox.

and i agree with the comment above that the slides are not great. But they are ok. The box itself seems nicer thwn the slides.

Maybe that was when they opened the Sedalia, MO plant. IDK

The Sedalia facility has been in operation since 1978.
The Nogales manufacturing location closed March of 2015.

Waterloo Industries was established in 1922 in Waterloo and, for many years, built all of its products only in Waterloo.

The company kept its headquarters in Waterloo even after closing its tool box manufacturing activities here in 1997.

The company now operates its flagship factory that employs 350 full-time workers in Sedalia, Mo. That facility opened in 1978, Sallee said.

Over the years, WI also has had plants in Pocahontas, Ark.; Muskogee, Okla.; and Nogales, Mexico, but it has consolidated all manufacturing operations in Sedalia.

Craftsman tool box drawer slides

I posted a message about a week ago about help identifying a craftsman tool box. Thanks for the leads & after more investigating I found part # left slide is part# 1008559 which I have found on Ebay however I cannot find the right slide part # 1008560. Does anyone here have contacts or know someone who may have the right slide #1008560. I've reached out to accuride & they tell me they were specially made & no longer available. Thanks in advance for any possible leads.
