It’s een at my Dads house since the late 60’s. My granddad used it prior to that so maybe early 60’s or before.
No markings on it anywhere but the name.
Thoughts?

Probably a pre 1950 520 box. The Kennedy flyer below is from April 1940 and the box is similar to yours but they didn’t change for years until they went to steel handles around 1950 or so.

Wow, you guys are great. Way more info than I expected. I'm sure my great grandpa got a lot of use out of this. He was an appliance repairman in Bluefield West Virginia back in that time period.

I'm trying to figure out whether to sell it or just keep it as a family heirloom so to speak out in the garage. From what I can tell they aren't worth big money unless you guys tell me otherwise.

You won't be retiring to Aruba with the proceeds from selling it, at least not around here. I got both of my square top boxes for under $50. One has a decent handle, one has no handle.

But they are still great users.

I inherited the same model, square corners and leather grip, from my grandfather who was a machinist in the '30s and '40s. Not any value in it, other than family attachment. I have a couple of other Kennedys that I have picked up over the years, none for more than a couple bucks.
