Please help me identify this tool and its vintage.

It belonged to my father 35 years ago.

Thanks in advance.

Clearly an angle drill as suggested. Is there a nameplate?

I couldn't see a name but I saw the address as Hampstead, MD. That would be Black and Decker.

I have a DeWalt right angle drill with that same switch style on it. Black and Decker had a line of professional tools that they changed the name and color on to Dewalt. They also had a line of industrial and a line of consumer, giving them three price points with the difference being cords, bearings, case material, chucks etc.

I have an older version of that drill. Front and center amongst the clutter.

That's a lot of heavy metal. I like it. Made back when men were men and we didn't need gyms because we bulked up by just carrying our drills around.
With all the corded goodness, somehow that particular phone seems out of place.

My dad had one of those metal circular saws and it shorted out one time we were using it! That thing caught on fire and sparks were flying out of it. He went and bought a new plastic one.
