While I am restoring a WT900 DP (from multiple scrap), I ran into quill spindle variations as attached photo below.

#1 no chuck was attached
#2 Jacobs 6A 2A taper chuck was attached- chuck adapter is bit shorter and taper diameter is smaller than #1
#3 is even shorter but the adapter diameter seems the same as #1 (no chuck was attached)

Few questions-
Is there any documented (catalog?) information on these variations?
What size chuck would fit on the spindle #1 and #3?
Would it be possible to adapt morse taper (MT2?) chuck to this spindle?

Also, below thread photo shows that the entire spindle can be disassembled including the screw piece above the chuck off the spindle shaft (and below the bearing).

is it just pressed-fit like bearing? As shown in the attached photo, I was able to remove the chuck and the bearings, but i have no idea how to remove the piece above the chuck from the spindle. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Some information from a 1962 WT catalog which is available on the vintage machinery site.
