Anyone able to identify a brand by these pics (in this CL post).

Here is all the post says.....
.
.
"Tool Box needs a new painting but in overall good shape. Upper & Lower boxes that rolls. Some drawers are dented but with some TLC & fresh paint could be made to look very nice. Asking xxxxxxx!!! Perfect for a young man setting up shop and needing something to store his tools in. NO TOOLS!!!!!! "
.
.
Whats the max you would pay for such box?

Thanks

appears to be a craftsman 40" 16"deep top and 18"deep bottom... almost identical to mine... these are fairly common... still a better box than you will find in the store today
as for price 200-300 depending on how bad of condition

looks like a approx. $1000 cman box on sale if it has roller slides. less if friction slides. for 5-600 you could get a hf set newon sale. looks a little steep for a blown up rattle can paint job.

Looks aside, that is a lot of tool storage for 100 bucks. I have that box and its just fine unless you have the drawers overloaded (hard to pull in and out). The frame of the box is solid though. I think one of the strengths of the box is that there are plenty 2 inch drawers for wrench/screwdrivers etc., and the side drawers are a little deeper for small sets in cases, etc.

I recently bought this freight damaged 40" Craftsman box with friction slides for $245. And I had to jump on it because there were guys calling the seller even as I was there to pay for the box.
At $100, even with the nasty paint job, pick it up ASAP. Wait much longer and it could be gone.

I just called the guy again... no answer (I did not leave voice mail). I'll send him an email, and if he doesn;t call me back or email me back... I'll have to assume I was not "on it" quick enough. (maybe a good thing, cause I think my wife would shoot me)
