That is a nice looking Drill press with some interesting features Montauket. Canedy Otto is a pretty good guess. It also reminds me of a Cinncinnati. Here is a picture of a later model that looks like it could have evolved from that mystery drill. That round column probably will help sort it out. Something else to look into anyway. Ed.

I think you nailed it Tom thank you.

I quick search on Canedy Otto brought me to eBay. Looks identical to a D2450 which is a 20” machine. I was able to get a shot of the data plate but the only thing you can make out on is a stamped 2046 . Not finding any details on Prctical machinist or Vintage machinery on these larger models or 2046 mostly the small stuff. The give away to it being a CO was the spokes on the quill, they are an exact match to CO.

ORC that would also make sense as I was able to find out today that Cincinnati acquired CO in later years. It would appear that Cincinnati used some of the design in the model you are showing.
