Does anyone have any idea / imformation or anything on this gun? I picked it up off of ebay for $13 (Plus $40 shipping of course). The thing is heavy and built like a tank! I won't be able to try it out until tomorrow.

I'm guessing maybe 60's?
The tag says: (I think, you can see its warn pretty bad)
LG-97
Air Wrench
Serial: (Unreadable)
Little Giant Tools (I think its Giant?)
Chicago (something I can't read)atic
Utica New York

The only thing I can come up with is it may have been made by Chicago Pneumatic as they are based (were?) in Utica New York, but thats just a wild guess.

Thank You!

What I can tell you is that they are neat to look at but not so neat when you have to use them all day. Id say its made by CP given the baby blue they always use.

Just mine doesn't have the CP on the side? Maybe an idea, shot in the dark really.

It is definately Chicago Pneumatic by the color and the name plate--they were located @ 2200 Blecker street in utica, N.Y. I worked for them in the late 60's and that one looks just like their 7xx serie's of truck wrenches for changing out semi wheels. That particular one could pre-date the 60's as "little Giant" tools went back to the 40's or earlier. Itlooks to be a 1" drive?? They used a lot of air(CFM) but could really spin the large lug nuts off! I think CP was sold off to Atlas Copco some time ago, so if you are looking for parts, contact them, as it maybe be long obsolete??:dunno:
