help im trying to buy some jack stands ...

im trying to buy milaukee 5650 jack stands but currently there not making them due to cost of steel but the lady at milaukee said there may still be nos ones out there somewere if anyone knows were i can get them please lmk thanks

i really like the ac or esco design but there 80.00 ea and made in china... these were 75.00 for 2

No, but I prefer to do some tugging and beating if I need to while it's on stands, and those do NOT look like a good stand to side load at all.

Unless I'm mistaken, that pin is resting on a flat, not a curved part. Where I work you will be fired if the pin isn't on a curved surface (ours use washers) to bear the weight.

I never got as far as looking at the cross pins cause I was too bust freaking out over the base that needs real gussets welded onto the base instead of the insufficient ones that are there!

I would think if one had the welding skills that a set could be made on the cheap. Have some steel cut for the gussets, use some of the heavy duty telepost that they use in basements for support, and a rattle can of red or some powdercoating and would be just as good or better than bought stands.
