I purchased a mr heater muh45lp and needed some ansewrs on install.I was planning to run it off 100 lb lp tank, what type of regulator do I need at tank connection? do I NEED A REG at all? AND not sure what to go with from there ,should I USE flex copper all the way to the universal hookup or would I go with flex copper connectd to 1/2 in. black pipe and then black pipe to the heater connection? Also what is a drip leg and its purpose and if required where would that be? I have no doubt I can install ,just want to do it correctly the first time.

My gas guy liked that I put a drip leg in mine, but he said he would rather have had it right at the control valve on the heater rather than the pipe comming out of the wall like I have mine.

And this goes outside to 1/2 soft copper to the tank.

Ironroad, I did mine the same way as you:

Not sure how you'd be able to put a drip leg right next to the gas valve since the gas valve is INSIDE the heater. I connected the other end of the flex directly to the gas valve inside.

Every gas appliance I've ever seen has been hooked up this way with the drip leg BEFORE the flex. :headscrat
