Help - Is this a real Mac Tool Box?!

Is there any way to verify if this is a real mac toolbox? I just cant find any others build the same way.. However, the style is exactly the same as the :

The seller is stating that it was from 1996 / 1997?

Yes that’s an entry level Mac toolbox, if I remember right they were nearly identical to the Husky boxes at Home Depot of that vintage, I think Waterloo made them but I could be mistaken on that part.

If that is the case you would agree that $800.00 is a fair price? have all the keys, all locks and drawers function... only issue is a small break in paint on top of box.

I’d offer $600 and see what they say, you can get a brand new Harbor Freight US General top and bottom for the same price and the same quality in my honest opinion
