Help laying out service entry cable from meter to load center.

I have a number of less than ideal layout and aesthetic conditions that must be met which is leaving me less than ideal locations for my meter base and load center panel.

I plan to locate the meter on the outside of the wall, in the stud cavity marked “A” and I plan to locate the load center in the space marked “B”.

I have a 200a service so I need to get either 4/0 aluminum or 2/0 copper service entrance wire from the meter to the load center.

Do either of these size cables bend easily enough to come out the back of meter, into the 2x6 stud cavity so that I can run it up the stud into the joist area?

Alternatively, could I maneuver either cable enough to enter the load center in the same stud bay as the meter such that it is located on the stairs landing?

All suggestions are welcomed; thx!

2x6 studs?

Should be OK, others will likely confirm.
I have some 4/0 I can bend and show you if needed.

Why not put panel at A?

Yes, 2x6 studs....and as i was writing my post I was thinking about putting them both at location A if a load center can go on a stair landing.

I'd have to dig a little, but I believe if the clearances are met it would be OK.

If not, I'd at least move "B" a bay or two left and take advantage of the dead space at the base of the stairs. You need 30" width clear for a panel.

Also will you have an exterior disconnect?

You may want/have to consider the length of wire between the water and the panel.

Yes, I am required to have a disconnect outside so I bought a meter socket with a main disconnect built in.

Try either of these with 2" sealtite inside the side wall. The rear wall would have a vertical length of pvc out of the bottom of the meter main to an LB going through the wall to connect up to the sealtite.

BTW, that is not how to frame a corner. You will need to add nailers for the wall covering to attach it at the corner.

Thank you! Yea, I noticed the corners too…I guess that’s what happens when you tell the framers that you are planing to leave the barn open framed.

Is this all new construction? If so with a little proper planning a conduit could have been placed making this very simple.

Yes, new construction but until today I had a different idea on where the panel and meter were to go but it seems like the landing might work.
