So, it looks like I need to replace my anti back-flow valve. When there was trouble, I removed the faucet handle and damaged a locking nut. The faucet is connected to an L-shaped pipe, made of copper. This copper pipe is then attached to a plastic one. What's the best way to detach the copper from the plastic? Is there something else I should be doing to fix this minor issue?
I'm not sure if I should be calling one of those professional Toronto plumbers for this seemingly minor issue or if I should get some new fittings. But again, I'm not sure which type/brand of fittings I should get. The label on the plastic pipe reads Viega Pex and my knowledge is that they're expensive to replace.
