Hi all,
Am refurbishing the above captioned Campbell Hausfeld compressor. Unfortunately the compressor fell off the dolly while I was moving it and some plastic parts are broken, namely the shroud cover and the blower wheel. These parts are listed as "No Longer Available" Whats a guy to do? Shame to throw away a perfectly fine compressor for the sake of a few plastic parts. Are similar brand parts interchangeable, or does someone know of a source for "no longer available" parts?
Thanks.

Yes....sorry guys.
here are a few photos....one is the blower fan housing, one is the blower fan itself, and the last one is the mounting for the blower fan.
The compressor is a Campbell Hausfeld 5 HP serial number 052489L-031933
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

model number isn't coming up anywhere. There should be a model number on the tank. Take a photo of it and post it. Then start by finding an owners or service manual for it because it will have a part # breakdown. There is also a chance that the crankshaft is bent now.

HS2610 comes up, just not many parts available.

Thanks guys, but I already have two of the part numbers and a manual however the problem is there don't seem to be the se parts available....part numbers are BG 2073 and BG 207200AL....no number for the blower fan. The crank shaft is okay....the plastic housing and the blower fan took the impact.
The numbers I've given are directly off the tank....perhaps it could be that as this is a Canadian model the numbers differ?
Thanks.

Geez....I can't believe in this day and age that a $10 piece of plastic can make a $2000 compressor not useable, especially when it's in great condition even if it's 20 years old!! Can't even find a replacement from China.....go figure!!!!

if it were in front of me, I would try cleaning up the ID and make a adapter ring out of steel or aluminum. Bolt the blower to the ring and the ring to the pulley. Same with the back plate.

^^^ the shroud looks repairable with a bit of sheet metal & a few pop rivets. the fan as above or maybe pc it back together.
or
add an electric fan adapt another fan , or worst case run it without a fan at all ...until it blows

the blower is HS001501AV . Might do some sleuthing to find dealers who were around 5 to 7 years after it was made, call them and see if anyone has a wheel new or used.

Thanks guys,
No joy anywhere....finally got a spec drawing from Campbell Hausfeld but otherwise the part seems non-existant....even tried the UK and Australia!!
Oh well....guess I'll try the aluminum fabrication as mentioned above....just worried about balancing it at 3450 rpm!!

Yes, balance well be a concern. I assumed the blower was on the pump head and not the motor. The pump head is general pulley reduced speed and turns way slower than 3650 - maybe 500~600 rpm:headscrat
if you get'r done, post up pictures - it may help others in the future.

Can a plastic shop weld the broken fan shroud together?

Can a new blower wheel be 3D printed using the old wheel and drawings as a pattern?

Nadogill,
I think I'm able to use aluminum and pop rivets to fix the shroud, and I don't know anything about 3d printing, or even if there's enough of the blower wheel left to determine accurate measurements.
I have found some other numbers on the blower wheel, and have contacted the manufacturer, Tec Air, to see if they can help. They seem to make blower wheels for vehicles that I may be able to make fit...just not sure how to determine the CFM of air movement that the compressor pump requires to stay cool.
Still annoyed that the part is no longer available....I guess that's what happens when companies change hands, and greed makes them think we can afford to buy a new compressor for a $10 part!!!:mad!!! :lol_hitti:mad:
